Absurdish Comedy: 4m/4w - Two Act

In a mythical county somewhere north of Detroit, Mrs. Goland doesn't have enough money to bury her husband.  To help, the Minister of Social Services concocts a Burial-by-Proxy scheme. Unfortunately, Mr. Goland, who's been kept on ice in his ice cream truck, is misplaced when the truck gets towed. Bedlam ensues when Alexander thaws out, not dead at all, and the Minister inadvertently falls off his balcony onto a flock of chickens, and Alexander becomes the Minister by default.

The Ho Ho Hotline has been installed in a retirement home so children can talk to Santa.  Wanting to meet the man himself, Jensie breaks into the phone company's data banks to get the address, and goes in seach of Santa, only to find Aaron Lelfkowitz instead.  "According to the phone company this is the North Pole." . . . "Yes!  And I'm Santa Lefkowitz," snaps the old man. . . . "I don't believe you! Santa's not Jewish!" . . . "Who eilse would work on Christmas?"

Lĕk, the egotistical 1st Bird-In-Waiting to the Queen of Thailand is kidnapped and 3rd Bird-In-Waiting comes to her rescue, but both are trapped in the ancient Banyan Tree of Sai Ngam, along with hundreds of other birds and fish and turtles and eels!  But a shape-shifting magician helps them by changing into a monk to remind the greedy bird vendor that all living things deserve respect, even a single grain of rice.  In the end Lĕk learns humility, the Royal birds return to the Queen's gardens on magic feathers, and the vendor leads everyone else to freedom!

When two teachers, the Coach, the Butler, Mrs. Snitwell, and a Mafia hit-man break into Dean of Stonebridge School for Proper Young Ladies' home, they find him with a noose around his neck, two suicide notes, a bottle of sleeping pills in his pocket, and a Japanese ceremonial dagger in his chest.  With the intent of murdering him themselves, they now have to find out who did it, with what, and are they next?  And then there's the issue of the Tontine, and rapidly defrosting moose on the kitchen table.

2  baby doves are forced to work for a street magician.  One day Snowflake buys a map from a pigeon to the fabled land of New Jersey where it's said birds live in their own houses! Along the way she's joined by an old dog, a homeless cat, a couple of mice, a rat who’s obsessed with the Mayor’s clean the streets campaign, and a lot of parakeets they free from a pet store.  In the end they find the bus to NJ,  but Snowflake has to returns to get her friend, all the while chased by the magician.
